my questions are:
1. How to solve the current Node connection problem with Freicoin core
2. testing the mobile / Eletrum wallets and updating the websites with current wallets
3. Updating the freicoin fondation site to list 100% donation matching and bring the donation matching to run (at best once a week, once a month is too long to wait)
4. Concentrating on making small Freicoin giveawys
5. Suggestion to switch to coin voting for Freicoin Foundation issuing. Can be handled same way like currently donation matching, but orgs /projcts  are  allowed to give the Freicoins voted back to the voter
6. Suggestion Freimining project, in short one extra coin for common good projects for every mined coin. This could help to have coins for Freicoin projects, could also help to integrate miners more into the philosophy of freicoin / could help that  merge miner stay more behind freicoin ideals.

Alright Arcurus As we managed to have several folks over at IRC today and it turned out to be a pretty cool way to communicate, so IRC meetup mainly it is ^^
That said though, I'd very gladly have a hangout on Blab or mumble at the same time. We (c/s)ould have the main discussion on the IRC, but also have quick/short followup comments or quizzes on mumble. If we were aiming to be as transparent as possible, we could then publish the IRC logs and mumble/blab recordings afterwards on the internets (on IPFS!!! And of course HASH 'EM ON THE BLOCKCHAIN!!! *hypehype*)? ^^

*edit: ohh yeah, I'll try to draft up some kinda agenda/topics we could wisely fit the 45min we have with maaku. I'll put it up (hopefully) later today and ask yer comments for it

generally between 11 and 15 Tamil Nadu time is the best for me currently.

I for my part focus to make a Freicoin Giveawy. In a way all other projects like Freipay, Basic Income, Freimining, Bick School project can be included in that.
In short, just post what you did, or want to do, and get some Freicoins. The donors decide them self which project they want to support.
The receivers then get the coins + some extra coins from the matching through the Freicoin Foundation / Freicoin Alliance.
Thats all.
 
For the meeting I would prefer IRC, because currently my connection here is too slow.  
 

Re: Email notifications by default.. NACK Hehe, I wouldnt like the idea of having the option on by default, but maybe it'd be possible to have it asked during registration, or on first login, if one wants to enable it
The new platform looks pretty cool now when getting a bit used to it. There would seem to be cool hooks (addons) and API's available... *grr* Cant browse some of the IPS's own forums sections though without an account with a license ><
No hurries with them fancy addons for now, but the Info / Tools section that Rik noticed to be missing would be nice to have back!

Saw Mark and Jorge on the #Freicoin IRC channel chat about working on updating the client to catch up with the features implemented in Bitcoin.

So what we as a community can do to help short term.. that would also, I'd think, help us with the FA stuff as well.. is to help with the updating/testing. Maybe start bounties and/or attach it to the freicoin giveaway.

Where the coin is going now? I've understood that both guys are pretty open to suggestions and opinions from the community and would like some input on that. As we're prettymuch the only active "community" in Freicoin-sphere, we could (should?) influence towards direction that would also help the FA vision. Heh, we dont have our aims straight with FA though.. or atleast I'm still clueless on which project we're going to drive onwards together.. so its a bit of a stuck situation.
I'd really wish we can have that meeting with all of us FA guys attending. If not meeting, lets get our schitt together here in the forums? Or email if people want to keep it private at first?

I think most important items to get going on are:
Increase nodes and mining for foreseeable future for a more stable FRC until merged mining with Bitcoin. Mobile FRC Wallets Iphone and Android up in Google Play and Itunes so it is easy to acess. Temporary needs links on Freico.in and FA site, Get the coin out to people so they can use it for good. I think 2 or 3 fix distribution ideas / concepts from the FA should be put into place. Mining Farm for BTC buy FRC so we can at least stabilize the price of FRC to a degree. Work with other business people to help them use FRC as a gateway to BTC / Cryptocurrency.
 

Note Laptop wallet connected to nodes and updated easily. Had to reinstall all and use Wallet.dat to recover.

I'll get the OpenCart shop installed again to have atleast one place to spend their coins I've got a lot of textiles, maybe theres some kids in your class that could be attracted to knitting and sewing related stuff, hehe.     .... *hmm* Actually, maybe we can have a Freicoin Giveaway related project, something like this:

- Put up a Thread for designing anything positive and/or Freicoin related art from textiles, paper/cardboard, flowers, recycled junk, anything!
- Give anyone that submits an picture of their work certain amount of FRC
  -- Static amount like 1 000 FRC (a bit of a budgeting problem)
  -- OR allocate like 100 000 FRC and divide equally amongts the participants
? Vote a "winner" for a little bonus and post the work on FA Articles section.
? Do some social media stuff, like tweet it out

I had this problem on my Jolla too, couldnt send but received OK. Had to remove the application and manually remove the files from the app cache.

The node problem is common too and we need to get some stable nodes on the network. I think fedde has one running on his FreiDC.. if not, hopefully he can get one up I'll put one up shortly too.
In the meantime, this one has worked for others (add via console with 'addnone'): node.freico.in . It'll take some minutes (theres a bug in the node discovery) to connect.

It might be good to try and pick a time best for Arcurus. So I hope I have this right. India has a weird half hour time shift just like Newfoundland in Canada I hope that is correct.

I am not able to send anything out of any of my wallets currently. I will back up or reinstall on my phone and try again.

My laptop is having issues  as there are no active connections and no block source available. I uninstalled and reinstalled the wallet and then changed networks still no connection.

i would be ready to donate the 200.000 Freicoins to the alliance for the bicks school project.
molly can then give the 200.000 K plus matching to bick from the alliance founds we have. currently this would be then 210.000. ( we are still waiting for the other 90% :))
the kids can then do some projects with that and report about it in the alliance forum.
if it is functioning well bick + the kids could register their project directly on the freicoin foundation web for the following donations.
 
 
 
 
 

Be nice if we can get updates on where the coin is going now.

I will have kids distribute their FRC and they have to write an explanation of what they intend to do with the coins.
The kids have been told this is a no strings attached grant so they can do whatever they want with the FRC as long as they provide a report online to the forum about their plans and usage of the FRC.

Literally just scratching the surface with IPFS it has a lot of potential and combined with Ethereum could be very usefull Not sure if there is a monitoring tool at the moment but im sure its in the pipeline.

My students are ready to receive and divide up the 200.000 FRC Arc suggested.
Challenges:
1. Android FRC Wallet where can they download it?
2. Iphone FRC Wallet where can they download it?
3. I have asked one student to take the donation directly and then distribute it. I will have her post a note in the forum here for that with wallet information.

But anyways.. about Mazacoin.. yeah, I can see its not that special altcoin/altchain from the surface looks of it for many. Indeed there's not much to differentiate it from the most other altchains on the technical side, but for me, the projects goals and aimed community is an exciting environment Too long of a subject to give mi full view on the project, so I'll just say I'm very hopeful that MAZA, with its dedicated and skilled developers, will offer real-life solutions and possibilities for the Native American communities to truly have independence and flourish as a nation ^^
 
I agree on the voice Though I can understand if some of us that have english as second language and are a bit rusty with it, are not too eager for that.

Hi everybody, although the topic is a little older recent events brings it into focus for me.
 
I am working on an simple Proof of Stake (SPOS) version for WLC / FRC. It also uses hot wallets for staking. In my opinion the higher risk is the price the staker has to pay (according to the price worker have to pay for miners).
In contrast to the other POS coins that are using coinage, the SPOS needs no coinage. A transaction is created every new block and the vin balance is used to determine the hashes allowed. The Proof of stake hash is generated by Time Nonce vin Address and bits, in this way a certain balance can only create a certain amount of hashes.

The stuff I have produced so far came just from messing around with bits and pieces I have taught myself. But if you find someone, who can do, go take it, its all open source, I would love to see it!
