Time flies by when you're having fun and busybeeing around. Summer season is making its way slowly here in Finland, so been tied with gardening and some community work, and of course.. following the ever increasing advancements in blockchain tech. Also attending the MOOC 3.0 by University of Nicosia and trying to complete the course ^^

We had some setbacks with the local towns FRC adoption.. the only shop&bar in the town wont be opening this year due to health issues of the owners. However, the plan for the farmers market to adopt Bitcoin and Freicoin is still in the plans The farmers market will be opening in June.
Also have discussed with number of shops in the nearby small city to start accepting Bitcoin and Freicoin and few of them are very into it and will be testing them out ^^ 

Signed up as a volunteer for one of the biggest outdoor weekend parties here in Finland too, and will be trying to establish some use cases for FRC during the event

I very much like the idea, especially the FreiHour system, and would like to support/try out  the project
I have been spending some time building a local community, and have a group of people who would be interested in trying out this idea/project out, but would have some questions about this

We have around ~10-30 people willing to give this project a try.. so what would be the easiest/straight forward way to register to this project? And how could we document the use of this idea/project the most open way? What features/improvements would you see beneficial to the projects success or improvement at this point?

This system will definitely be much more economical now with this SBMS and LiFePo4 batteries. These systems can with batteries can last as long as the solar panels over 10 years and up to 25 years if you use a good SBMS. The engineer building this is really doing a phenomenal job and these are OPEN source units. Something our Freicoin Alliance might want to look into.

Solar BMS (Solar Battery Management System) is a solar charge controller designed to replace the Lead Acid solar charge controllers most people use today in Offgrid, RV, Boats and multiple other applications with 12V and 24V systems.
Solar BMS can be used with 3 up to 8 Lithium cells (any type) or supercapacitors.

I intend to make an electrum fork for FRC. I'll be working on that actively.

I have a working electrum-frc-server and electrum-frc. It's not quite complete. There are no reliable places that run electrum-frc-server so currently you have to run one on localhost. (Kind of defeats the purpose but hopefully someone with an available server will pop up.)
 
Currently electrum-frc is incomplete in that:
1.) It doesn't know anything about demurrage. 2.) It doesn't check the difficulty of headers it's given. (Though honestly, the amount of security that the difficulty check adds is debatable, especially given that there will likely be few servers.) 3.) Block explorers are still the old Bitcoin ones. Anyway, if you have a server to connect to, electrum-frc currently works for sending/receiving FRC. Will finish it as soon as possible.

This idea for having these Mazacoin subforum sections has been flowing gently on the air for a little while, being discussed a bit on the #Mazacoin IRC channel (on Freenode) and just a tad between me and few individuals  
I guess the main idea behind offering these forum subsections for other groups / projects is to establish common communication channels for similar ideas and similarly minded people. I see, and I'm glad to see others seem to agree ^^, that we all do benefit from working together.. where even small contribution, be it hours of man labor to a community project or writing hours of code to open source software project, can make a difference for all
And, sharing knowledge, learning, teaching.. or just provoking thought in civil manner between larger group of people is always more interesting and educational
So, a hearty welcome to all Mazacoin peeps! ^^

Have you guys seen the new NEOS coin wallet?
 
It is web browser based.
 
It has all the usual wallet info PLUS messaging, live prices, mining pools, block explorer, estimated BTC value of your wallet and lots of other cool stuff.
 
You can update the mining pools, exchanges etc centrally to all users with wallets (pretty cool). Excellent way of ensuring Freicoin users know where to mine and trade their FRC.
 
I took some screenshots if you dont want to install it to see for yourselves.
 

 
Though I can't offer anything in the way of useful skills to help the new wallet project I would be happy to donate towards the bounty.
 
I think the wallet needs updating, I'm happy with any new version to be honest.

my wallet is not calculating the demurrage? I have a samsung with normal android. Does anyone have the same problem? am i missing sdomething(transactions are working)?.

You might not see the minor changes in balance if your precision is not high enough. Go to your wallet settings and change the amount of visible digits to 8

I dont use exchanges too much, so I usually use the same address for deposits quite often and thats been working fine for me Some people promote the "best practices" for exchanges too, so with that in mind, creating a new address for every deposit would be the way to go
Though, I've heard from some other traders too, that with Cryptsy it'd be good to generate a new addy every now and then. New address for every week seems to be what most recommend, but at the least for every month. Heard it has something to do with their way of managing their wallets and the "priority deposit" system.. or something This is all hear-talk, so I'm not really sure whats the deal

Mazacoin fellas are working on a multi-coin electrum fork, that would.. like the name suggests.. allow multiple different coins to work on a single client. This would though require the Freicoin electrum version of the client to be BIP44 compliant though.

So.. I'll up my bounty to 5 Freihours for a version that is BIP44 compliant

Just some quick comments

I agree / also think that the federal reserves statistics are totally skewed But I guess they still could be used for starters if needed.

I also would see it more probable that there were no barter or a value measurement before "money" was invented This is something that is ~promoted by Ubuntu Liberation Movement too.
Of course, there probably was some kind of record keeping between individuals or groups when needed.. something like "I help you for 9 hours today to finish building your house, you'll help me in the next week for 9 hours with my farming". I guess that could be called debt

i think i found a solution. Still doing some testings but shares are created correct already. The p2pool fork wont work for BTC anymore cause i can not guarantee that it works correnct with BTC supply still on. But everybody that wants to mine BTC will use forrest v's p2pool anyway ;-).
 
I write again when i have the tests finished (lets see if i can mine a FRC block with it..).
