Hi Everybody,
 
i found 2 Errors in the client. The first one is the sendmany api,
 
f.e. the command:
./freicoind sendmany "123" '{"1Prg4TMfQCoaZVAWBUTxWqmFdR1EJHhRww":1, "1AWjvWDBDYNTpKArKkWwcceBCmqoggqM2D":1}'
 
 
This gives me the error:
error: {"code":-4,"message":"Transaction commit failed"}
 
Maybe i am using it wrong, but i can see no Problem in the command.
 
The second error i found is within the GUI version.
Changing: "Settings -> Options -> Display -> Unit to show amounts to:" µFRC
 
gives me:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
  "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team dor more information." Error
 
After that the client crashes and is closed.
 
Maybe anyone has an idea?

Interesting Paper (though i did not read it completely). But for my understanding we could burn a high amount of Freicoin to lets say 1Freicoineater... and use this address to have an "anchor of trust" that guarantees for one ledger.
 
About the "common vision": What is aimed at is to establish a constant circulation of the money which is very hard to achive with donation matching.
 
I try to test as much as i can though i dont know how a script for testing should look like.
 
About the "neat features" of Bitcoin: Bitcoin will stay what it is (a very volatile asset) independent of how many features there are, which is what we dont really want with FRC. So i think we should not focus to much on technology but on conception and circulation ;-).

Edit: seems like i overlooked something. Pool is running without errors, but blocks are not accepted by freicoin-qt. So please stop testing for the moment. More in the evening.

Hi All,

here is an proposal to use in bounties, loans, donations, basic income project and other projects that need an more "stable" unit of account an new unit called Freihour.

 

The Freihour is intended to be used if we need some more stable unit of account.

An Freihour reflects an average working hour and is currently defined as purchasing power of round about 10 Dollar on 2014/12/06.

As time comes inflation will be calculated in it, therefore the related Dollar / Freicoin value may increase in case of inflation or decrease in case of deflation.

 

Currently (2014/12/16) an Freihour equal round about 5000 Freicoins. 

If an Freihour becomes more worth then double the initial purchasing power we can set an Freihour to 2500 Freicoins and so on.

If an Freihour becomes less worth then half the initial purchasing power we can set an Freihour to 10000 Freicoins and so on. 

 

Later if needed we could automate this process.

 

To use the Freihour is currently just an experiment, so feel free to take part!

i think i found a solution. Still doing some testings but shares are created correct already. The p2pool fork wont work for BTC anymore cause i can not guarantee that it works correnct with BTC supply still on. But everybody that wants to mine BTC will use forrest v's p2pool anyway ;-).
 
I write again when i have the tests finished (lets see if i can mine a FRC block with it..).

"Debt; the first 5.000 years" Very good book indeed. I read it end of last year. But he is not into demurrage. He prefers the debt cut at certain points of history. Maybe he never heard of demurrage which is much better because of the stable redustribution of wealth.
 
The hour is a very good measure for work because it is universal! Also used by the minuto initiative. I totally agree with that measurement.
