thats not a big problem, because in long run negative interest on deposits would lead to lower the interest on loans generally. the problem more is how these negative interest on deposits is distributed... the problem we currently have, is, that there is a lot really a of money out there, but not much projects / enterprises / states which are trustworthy to get an loan and payback the money. therefore interest goes currently more and more towards 0. Hi Samuel, I am thankful for all your energy you have! Up to now I did not had time to look much into Ucoin, maybe its time to do now. To use web of trust as mining sounds very interesting and is what we also discussed in Freicoin in the beginning. What I am still not sure is if not something like proof of stake in combination some proof of work is more preferable, then an currency that is fully based on web of trust and has therefore the multi account problem. For me it looks like there is a different perception between the main Freicoin developers and the Freicoin community. As far as I understood the main goal of Freicoin is to create a fair money system for the people. It looks like the developers have more a focus on the demurrage itself, while the community has more a focus on a fair coin issuing / distribution of the demurrage. First of all we should come together and outline a clear vision, in what direction we want to go with Freicoin. yea, the community agreement was 100% matching. I would not bet and I would not vote for that the undistributed coins are destroyed. but for sure we need more feedback from the foundation.
