    Hellow everyone!
I'd just like to present myself to the community. I still quite new to cryptos, but I'm facinated by them. I'm also very interested on universal income. It was a mind blow for me to mix both into one faierer economic system! By chance I got to Solidar with that, and Solidar brought me to Freicoin as well.
I hope to learn a lot here and hopefully be of some good use =)

Victor reacted to Rik8119 in Solidar as voucher.
§ 807 BGB : Legally, the voucher is equated with a document (ownership paper according to § 807 BGB) which grants the voucher owner a claim to a service in the amount quantified on the voucher or a claim to a service.
§ 195 BGB: Regular limitation period
The regular period of limitation is three years.
Giveaways can be valid shorter as they are a gift and not bound to the law when it comes to tine validity. There is no entry in the BGB for that. It is rather a rule that has been established in many court decisions.

Victor reacted to Rik8119 in Solidar as voucher.
Hi everyone, @magius asked me what the legal implication of vouchers are and i found an internetpage that describe the status of Solidar vouchers very well:
    http://www.it-recht-kanzlei.de/agb-gutscheine-verkauf.html
    in principle it says:
-When an organization issues vouchers there is a difference if they are sold or give aways.
-If they are give aways -like Solidar- the issuer can freely define the how long they are valid.
-In principle vouchers could be a subsidy for money, like the german wikipedia states in his first sentence: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gutschein
-For digital voucher several questions have to be answered:
Where can the voucher be redeemed?
    - as the WINC e.V. is the issuer we will pay 1€ for 1million Solidar to the owner, if he would like to sell it (This is a quite symbolic value to cover the legal aspect).
How long can the voucher be redeemed?
    - The voucher looses 19-20% Each Year which is tracked by the solidar network.

        Who can redeem the voucher?
    -Everyone.
        Is the voucher transferable?
-Yes, it is NOT bound to any person.
For which products can the voucher be redeemed?
-The voucher can be redeemed for EUR. In special cases also for services that the WINC e.V. offers.
Can only one voucher per order or can several vouchers be redeemed?
-The maximal amount of vouchers are 20 000 000. It can be owned/cashed out by one person.
What happens to the remaining credit if the value of the voucher exceeds the value of the purchased goods?
    - Solidar voucher are using 8 decimal places, so the remaining vouchers can be kept by the owner for later use.

As Marc also stated: In the EU these laws can apply to other countries also. I do not see a reason why they can not apply to other countries as well, but if you know some specialties of other countries, feel free to post here.

An idea to spread the use of Solidar worldwide. Launch a campaign on Facebook to ask pub owners worldwide to create a "solidar beer day" in the week, in which as a form of discount they accept partly their local currency and partly solidars. Basicly the amount of solidars is the discount.

We will try to experiment with Solidar on a "little" scale. We started to inform people of our italian network about it. The UBI subscriptions iin this week will be about 100 from Italy, that's  a scale of about 60,000,000 people (please @Rik8119 may you verify from the Solidar Facebook page?).  In the middle of 2018 we hope the scale will be littler, on an italian municipality and surrounds, about 600,000 people.

I've been thinking about a small scale real-world trial. Something like an economicaly active but still strugling vilage, or a small university campus that people can find their own use for Solidar. Let's let the tread open and see if someone comes with a good opportunity in the nearby future!

Before someone hit the BAN button, consider this:
I was in a meetup about basic income and crypto currencies that follow that path, and we got to a very interesting point.
    Money has three caracteristics:
1- It is a store of value against time
2- It is a counting system
3- It is a mean of exchange.
So, Bitcoin, a bit like gold, is a great store of value (1), but it is poor in the points 2 and 3 (for several reasons, some do not have to do with bitcoin itself but to its acceptance in the market as money). Euros and dollars try to tackle all the three, but side effects that are not so desirable. On top of my mind, inflation takes wealth from the people and transfer it to the monetary issuer.
Solidar is by desing a poor store of value. It depreciates itself 20% a year. It is not so much a counting system because  1. there are no prices in Solidar (yet!), and it may be long before we can buy bread at a random corner with a cryptocurrency. BUT it is a great mean of exchange! It is designed to be so, in fact.
You get coins for free , and they desapear over time , the insentives are there for you to expend it. So, what if we have a approach on Solidar more as LIKES on facebook or a voting system and less like money. The difference now is that you can give people LIKES (SDRs) not for a post or a comment, but for any thing that they perform that you think it was of value for society. Or as a voting system when you want to ask a population about something, they will only give you SDRs if they think the proposal is worth it.
Now it comes the catch. Because we are not treating it as money, people stop wanting to store it (do you know anyone keeping LIKES for himself?!), and would rather use it somehow. The more people use it, the more intrinsic value Solidar will have. Just like LIKES on facebooks, you get infinite of them for free, but companies pay to have people liking their  content! The value of the coin then is not backed up by a exchange, but by people using it.
    Am I crazy?

@Rik8119 No concrete idea yet. Most people I talk to have a hard time digesting all the different comcepts. Cryptocurrency, universal dividend and demurrage are not part of everyday life!
I thought people would be excited about the idea of 'free money', but most people are just schepitical =/. Maybe because they don't really know what to do with SDR.
In my opinion we should do some field work to bring the currency to life. I'm not sure of what yet. There are some vage options in the back of my head:
Try to sell something online with solidar. Or set a market place where Solidar is accepted. (Duniter has one kinda working: https://www.gchange.fr/#/app/market/lg) Organize an event to present Solidar to like minded people and see how many are interested in using it. Make a trial with a relatively small comunity (small university camplus, or village) to find out for what people would use Solidar in the real world. The point is to start trying out different ways of using and learning along the way instead of trying to have as many people as possible registred but not ruse how active they will be.

Victor reacted to Arcurus in [Freirepublic] - The Freiinvest Project - Support Ethical Investments (suggestion)
    Hi all,
the "Freiinvest Project" is an non profit Freicoin Community driven project and part of the "The Frei-Republic / Frei-Economy Project".

The Frei-Republic / Frei-Economy Project is based on 5 columns to cover each aspect of Freicoin. Freiinvest is one column of it.

The main goal of Freiinvest is to propagate a "Common Good Based Economy" through encouraging cooperation, dezentralisation, sharing of knowledge and supporting a non harming fair economy through ethical investments.

The Freiinvest Project itself is focused on the ethical investment aspect.

    In short:
Participants of the Freiinvest Project can get up to 100%* of their Freicoin transaction value for verified common good / non profit projects on the participants choice for each investment** made in Freicoin!

Verified projects can be found here: Freicoin Foundation Web or Freicoin Alliance specific here: Freicoin Alliance.
Freiinvest itself is purely donation based and therefore dependent on your donations. Therefore please consider to donate some Freicoins to Freiinvest if you want help to propagate the Freiinvest Project.

If you just want to make an purchase, an donation or a zero interest micro loan you can use Freipay or the Micro Loan Project instead.

    * Out of technical reasons currently Freicoins that have been used already with Freiinvest are not supported and therefore get no matching.
    * To guarantee fairness the given amount per user / user Group can be limited.

    * The exact percentage is dependent on The Freicoin Foundation coin issuing and therefore is not in the hand of The Freiinvest Project .
Only the Freiinvest Projects costs that are covered from the coin matching, an therefore can slightly reduce the matching, are: Freicoin Network Transaction Fees, Freicoin demurrage costs and in case of proxy payments to other currencies: exchange costs and transaction fees in this network. Time and resource costs from The Freiinvest Project are not covered and therefore are dependent purely on your donation to The Freiinvest Project.

    * * The goal is to encourage cooperation, sharing of knowledge and a non harming fair economy. Therefore only investments which fit to this ethical rules are supported by The Freiinvest Project. If you want to have an organisation or project white- or black- listed, just post here or write an message.

Current caretaker of this project is Martin(Arcurus) .
If you want to participate or just have some suggestions, please feel free to post here or send an message!

    Absolutely not,
i also think that donations for free musik/videos/e-learning/open source software/activists(like wikileaks) is a HUGE use case that can and should not be underestimated. As Solidar is comming for free everybody has the possibility to "vote" for the favorite free work that she/he wants to support.
For that the idea was to organize some internetpage that will list all organizations/artists that will support solidar donations.

If you want to install solidar its quite simple:
    1. download git repository
git clone https://github.com/solidar/solidar.git 2. install the necessary dependencies
    sudo apt-get install build-essential libboost-all-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libdb-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libmpfr-dev libgmp-dev libssl-dev 4. Then cd to the solidar/src folder and compile the deamon (headless non-gui version).
sudo make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- 5. Then try to run the client:
./solidard & 6. The & is to start the deamon in the background, so you can always contact it from the same terminal.
./solidard getinfo 7. to install the qt-version please see https://github.com/wincev/SOLIDAR/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst
I only did it once, so i can give no step to step to that.
If there are still problems, please ask (freicoin should be installed the same way).
