    Hi there, maybe you have some more time now? Or is it just chatting? Around here there is not too much traffic anymore. I guess the overall interest in alternative currencies is gone - people forget to fast what happened 2007-08. The Bitcoinhype has also slowed down and everybody is looking at bitcoin right now, as the halving stands before the door..
    Maybe a good time to by alts (ok excluding ethereum).

    Hi Kieran,
    this is exactly what i did. I called it worldleadcurrency i founded the WINC association to administer it and made it a voucher. It has 20% demurrage 1% is given to miners and 99% of all coins are payed as a basic income for everyone that registers at verify.winc-ev.com. Additional the coin has merge mining integrated what makes it more stable (though it blows up the blockchain size). I try also to integrate POS during my rare freetime - the theory is clear but to integrate it is rather hard because i do not want the standard POS. It can be traded at c-cex.com. The coin needs a good explorer and an electrumserver but i hope this will be done in the next few month..

    P. S. I wouldn't give up on Freicoin it still has a fanbase (though in hibernation) ;-)

    I looked a little more into switching to ethererum, a big problem is that you have to pay the transaction fees in ether. And as this is a commercial project i do not think this will change in the near or middle future. So moving to ether is not so bright as it may seems as the payout of a basic income will cost ether..

    I am not sure if "moving" to Ether is possible, but rather means to create a complete new coin?

    There was someone mentioning that i should port my project to Ether, but i do not know how and the information on how to work with ether are rather rare and not for me to understand. My main Problem is that i dislike that you are completely dependent on ether once one choose that path and i can not say what the advances are /(except a stable block creation).

    Hi i do not know how you contact the devs, they are now working on Bitcoin Core as far as i know (Mark Friedenbach and Jorge Timón). But there is a handful of guys around here that have knowledge about programming and Freicoins properties. I did a clone of Freicoin - Worldleadcurrency, so if there are any questions you can always ask us too.
    And thank you for this great project!

    Well in principle it is possible but this means hole restructuring of the coin and most likely a hard fork of the client accepting the new addresses.

    Hi everyone,
    i was wondering if there is a open source repo for a freicoin block explorer. At the moment only coinplorer is working as far as i know and i want to have one in the backhand if something is going wrong. Maybe Abe?

    But if you have a nodes ip it should not be a problem to add a node (f.e.):
    addnode=104.168.151.81
    The .conf file is in your "user\YourUser\AppData\roaming\freicoin" folder under windows and in the .freicoin (hidden) folder in your userfolder under linux. to see the folder in your filemanager push str+h (show hidden folder and files).

    Rik8119 got a reaction from Fabrizio in Discussion of Proof of Stake (POS)
    Hi everybody, although the topic is a little older recent events brings it into focus for me.

    I am working on an simple Proof of Stake (SPOS) version for WLC / FRC. It also uses hot wallets for staking. In my opinion the higher risk is the price the staker has to pay (according to the price worker have to pay for miners).
    In contrast to the other POS coins that are using coinage, the SPOS needs no coinage. A transaction is created every new block and the vin balance is used to determine the hashes allowed. The Proof of stake hash is generated by Time Nonce vin Address and bits, in this way a certain balance can only create a certain amount of hashes.

    The branch is at: https://github.com/WorldLeadCurrency/WLC/tree/SPOS

    However i thought maybe this is also intersting for Freicoin?

    Hi Fab,

    what a pitty so many good developers working on Bitcoinclones without demurrage ;-). However nice sideprojects.
    Though i do not see what is special about the coin beside the fast difficulty adjustment, or do i miss something?

    To the question: Yes i would be interested in participating and i would prefer voice - it is more personal and direct in a small group.

    It is doing it, but just after some time. It found me some connections without adding them with addnode.
    I think the problem is that no correct configured dnsseed is online, but i can be wrong here.

    It is no problem to add some static nodes at seed.freico.in but this need to be done by someone who is in control of the sites DNS.

    Argh, found the error..

    Inside wallet.cpp >>>   bool CWallet::CreateTransaction   <<<

    There is the translation of the output value:

    const mpq qValue = RoundAbsolute(s.second, ROUND_AWAY_FROM_ZERO, 0);
    const mpz zValue = nValue.get_num() / qValue.get_den();
    CTxOut txout(mpz_to_i64(zValue), s.first);

    Problem is: nValue is the hole amount which is then added to every txout. The right one should be qValue:

    const mpz zValue = qValue.get_num() / qValue.get_den();

    Very small one, but also easy to overlook..
    Commit can also be found here:

    Hi Arcurus,

    no, as far as i know it is not possible to add them directly. But you can define a subdomain very easy to be a seednode. If you have a standard control panel at your registrars website. Or what exactly do you want to do?

    I found out that the amount i try to send was doubled by the sendmany command and so the amount i tried to send exeeds the available amount and the commit failed.

    The command:
    ./freicoind sendmany "" '{"1Prg4TMfQCoaZVAWBUTxWqmFdR1EJHhRww":1,"1AWjvWDBDYNTpKArKkWwcceBCmqoggqM2D":1}'
    error: {"code":-4,"message":"Transaction commit failed"}

    Produced the output in the debug file:

    Somewhere there seem to be a doubeling of the amount one tries to send. Maybe some copy and paste stuff from the bitcoin to freicoin migration?

    Hi Everybody,

    i found 2 Errors in the client. The first one is the sendmany api,

    f.e. the command:
    ./freicoind sendmany "123" '{"1Prg4TMfQCoaZVAWBUTxWqmFdR1EJHhRww":1, "1AWjvWDBDYNTpKArKkWwcceBCmqoggqM2D":1}'

    This gives me the error:
    error: {"code":-4,"message":"Transaction commit failed"}

    Maybe i am using it wrong, but i can see no Problem in the command.

    The second error i found is within the GUI version.
    Changing: "Settings -> Options -> Display -> Unit to show amounts to:" µFRC

    gives me:
    Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
      "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
    Please contact the application's support team dor more information." Error

    After that the client crashes and is closed.

    Maybe anyone has an idea?

    Rik
